General Conditions of Sale and Service

1. Any booking made with BLACKSTYLE VTC constitutes unconditional acceptance of these general conditions of sale.
2. Payment is due when booking, or no later than eight days after receipt of the invoice. BLACKSTYLE VTC then issues written confirmation with all booking details and sends it by email.
3. When other transport companies provide services on behalf of BLACKSTYLE VTC, their own conditions apply. BLACKSTYLE VTC’s liability is limited to services it actually provides.
4. Bookings may be cancelled only by email. A refund can be made on presentation of bank account details, under the following conditions:

• Cancellation more than 15 days before the service: 100% refund.
• Cancellation between 7 and 15 days before the service: 50% refund.
• Cancellation between 2 and 7 days before the service: 25% refund.
• Cancellation less than 2 days before the service, or failure of the passenger to attend: no refund.

5. In the event of a delay, one hour of waiting is included for airport pickups and 15 minutes for other pickups. Additional waiting, subject to chauffeur availability, is charged at €25 including VAT per quarter-hour. If the passenger is more than 15 minutes late and has not contacted the company, the service is cancelled without entitlement to a refund.
6. BLACKSTYLE VTC reserves the right, and authorises its chauffeurs, to refuse access to anyone visibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs whose behaviour could threaten other passengers or the chauffeur.
7. Smoking and consuming alcoholic drinks are prohibited in the vehicles.
8. French law requires every passenger to wear a seat belt.
9. For children under 10, French law requires an age-appropriate restraint, such as a child seat or booster seat. BLACKSTYLE VTC provides this equipment free of charge but must be told at booking that children under 10 will be travelling. If the company has not been informed and the vehicle lacks the necessary equipment, the service cannot be provided and no refund is due.
10. The customer is responsible for, and will be charged for, damage to equipment or the vehicle interior. For passenger comfort and safety, the chauffeur opens and closes the doors when conditions permit. If a passenger heavily soils the vehicle, a cleaning charge of €350 including VAT is payable.
11. The customer may never require the chauffeur to exceed the speed limit or commit a road traffic offence. The chauffeur may refuse any instruction or request considered likely to compromise the safety of vehicle occupants or other road users.
12. Animals are permitted only in a suitable cage or carrier, with BLACKSTYLE VTC informed in advance when booking. If the company was not informed that an animal would be travelling, it may refuse the service without a refund.
13. BLACKSTYLE VTC makes every effort to arrive on time for scheduled pickups and deliver customers to their destinations at the agreed time. However, it accepts no responsibility for:

• Delays to rail or air services.
• Road delays beyond its control, including road or bridge closures, traffic jams, flooded roads, demonstrations, weather conditions and interventions by police, firefighters or customs officers. This list is not exhaustive.
• Delays caused directly by the customer’s initial lateness, or by a journey requested by the customer within an obviously insufficient time.

14. If a mechanical failure, accident or damage, including theft or vandalism, prevents the vehicle from continuing, BLACKSTYLE VTC will endeavour to complete the journey using one of its other vehicles or a vehicle hired from another company.
15. BLACKSTYLE VTC’s liability is limited to the terms of its insurance policy. Its vehicles are insured for passenger transport and passengers are insured against bodily injury. The insurance also covers professional civil liability under the applicable French regulations, pursuant to Article L. 3120-4 of the French Transport Code. The customer may take out additional insurance at their own expense for cancellation, repatriation or transported luggage.

16. These conditions are governed by French law. Subject to applicable statutory provisions, any dispute falls, by express agreement, within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Commercial Court of Colmar, Haut-Rhin.
